Economic Development

Welcome to Susquehanna Township!

There is a multitude of reasons to choose Susquehanna Township to expand or relocate your business. Susquehanna Township is a diverse community with established businesses and a progressive local government.  We are continually working to create a sustainable environment that balances economic growth with the need to create and maintain a business-friendly environment.  Our location and people make Susquehanna Township a great place to live and an even greater place to do business.  As a first-ring suburb of the City of Harrisburg, Susquehanna Township offers a variety of opportunities to live, learn, work, and play.

Bordered by the Blue Mountains to the north and the Susquehanna River to the west, the Township is bisected by two major transportation routes: Interstate 81 which runs east-west through the Township and State Route 322 and the railroad tracks, which extends north-south. In addition to the proximity to Harrisburg (a city undergoing revitalization), we are within an hour drive of Carlisle, Hershey, Lancaster, York, and Gettysburg.  Regionally, we are in a within a few hours drive or train trip to several major cities including Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, New York, Baltimore, and Washington D.C.
