Additional Notes
The Township is enforcing the 2018 I-Codes, with Uniform Construction Code (UCC) amendments. The requirement for plumbing permits is based upon Act 45 and the UCC Administrative and Enforcement Regulations as promulgated by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry, and any subsequent acts of the Pennsylvania General Assembly. The current versions of Act 45 and the regulations are contained on the L & I website (https://www.dli.pa.gov/ucc/Pages/default.aspx) .  We suggest that you review them regularly for updates.

Please take note of the current procedures for plumbing permits.  Plumbing schematics shall be submitted along with any building permit application and plans (when plumbing is involved). You should also make an application for the plumbing permit at that time.  Residential reviews and inspections are being performed by this office.  Commercial plan review and inspections are being performed by Middle Department Inspection Agency.  Where permits are required, please note the permits must be obtained PRIOR TO commencing the work. A minimum of 48-hour notice is required to schedule inspections. Violations of the Plumbing Code are “punishable by a fine not exceeding $1,000.00 and costs of prosecution.  Each day that a violation continues after due notice has been served shall be deemed a separate offense.”
