Sewer Projects

The Susquehanna Township Authority's gravity collection and conveyance sewer system presently consists of approximately 130 miles of sewers (approximately 686,600 feet) of various pipe sizes ranging from 8-inch diameter to 42-inch diameter pipe. There are presently seven (7) pumping stations serving the Township. The Authority is committed to providing its residential and commercial customers with adequate wastewater conveyance services to the community. This requires continuing system maintenance that involves repairs, rehabilitation, and replacement of the sewers and manholes. It also requires an assessment of the condition of the system and directing capital expenditures to best maintain and extend its useful life.
