Status of Occupancy - Tenant Information

All property owners (lessors) or residential properties that either rent or have properties available for rent must report such properties to Susquehanna Township inclusive of the number of units available for rental for each property address on the appropriate form.  This pertains to single-family dwellings, multi-family dwellings, and other rental units. This is required whenever a tenant or tenants move into a rental or vacate a rental per Chapter 11, Part 1, of the Township Code of Ordinances.

It is important to understand that the lack of reporting such rental units to the Township results in a lack of funding for both Susquehanna Township and the Susquehanna Township School District. Individuals residing within the Township 18 years of age or older are liable for personal taxes providing they do not qualify for exemption or exoneration from all or portions of the taxes.

This report must be submitted to the Township within 10 days of a change in rental occupancy status.
