Sergeant Ronald Reinhart

Title:  Platoon Commander (B)

 Sgt Reinhart came to Susquehanna Township Police in 1998 after serving two years as a Federal Police Officer.  Prior to that, he served in the U.S. Air Force as a Security Police/Law Enforcement Specialist.  During his time in the Air Force Sgt Reinhart was assigned to bases in Germany , Saudi Arabia (Operation Southern Watch) and Maryland

 Sgt Reinhart graduated from the 8th Modular Police Academy at HACC in 1998.  Since joining our department, he has served in a variety of positions including bicycle patrol, FTO and was a member of the Dauphin County Drug Task Force.  He was promoted to Corporal in 2006 and Sergeant in 2008.  He currently serves as the commander of B Platoon.  Additionally, Sgt Reinhart is the Police Bargaining Unit president and co-chair of the Candidate Advisory Board.    

 Sgt Reinhart has attended many police related schools including the DEA Narcotics Investigator School , Police Executive Development and the Command Institute for Police Executives.  He has also received many awards for his service including Officer of the Quarter, Drew Comrey Order of Honor Medal and the Life Saving Medal.  He was recognized by the American Heart Association for his actions during a cardiac emergency which helped save the life of a township resident.
