a phone please contact the police department at 558-6900.
OPERATION VIGILANT PROTECTOR
Our
agency started a new initiative recently that has been named “Operation
Vigilant Protector.”
Beat
Officers will act proactively on conditions that would allow for the
victimization of criminal behavior. Upon observing an unsafe condition,
the Officer will make contact with the property owner and advise them of such.
Examples include the following:
a.
Unsecured property in yards
b.
Greenery or shrubs obstructing or blocking windows or doors
c.
Accumulation of mail or newspapers
d.
Valuables left unsecured and in plain view in vehicles
e.
Any condition that would invite the criminal element to victimize a citizen or
business owner.
RECENT BURGLARIES
The
Police Department is asking for your help. Recently there were two day
time burglaries in the township. The first burglary was in the 500 Block William
Ave. The second burglary was in the 3900 Block Greenwood Blvd. We
are asking that when you, the citizen, see any one that is acting suspicious or
any suspicious activity in your neighborhood to call the police right
away. You can call 911 or 558-6900 which is the non-emergency line.
If you
have any information on either burglary you can call the Susquehanna Township
Police Department at 652-8265 or the anonymous tips line at 909-TIPS
(8477).
