Fort Hunter Sewer Project to begin 7/26: Fort Hunter Sewer Project will begin on Monday, July 26, 2010 and continue through until Friday, August 6, 2010. During the time of the sewer construction; Fort Hunter Road will NOT be accessible during the construction from 9:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. each day Monday through Friday.
There may be a delay in the completion of this sewer construction due to weather.
There will be NO access to Organic Endeavors during the construction project. Residents may utilize Organic Endeavors on the 2nd Saturday of the month in August and also utilize the Yard Waste Collection for Penn Waste on the 3rd Saturday in August on August 17, 2010.

Penn Waste Tag-A- Bag Program information: Effective 1/1/10, Penn Waste will offer Susquehanna Township residents a new service level called Tag-a-Bag. The program calls for any participating resident to purchase a minimum 34 bags per year (1/1/10-12/31/10) at a price of $3.00/bag or $102.00 per year. The program is ideal for residents that generate 1 bag or less every week. Participants in this plan have weekly recycling, bulk item and monthly yard waste collection provided at no additional charge.

OPEN BURNING IN THE TOWNSHIP IS PROHIBITED: By order of Fire Marshall Drees, Township residents are reminded that open burning of any kind is prohibited within Susquehanna Township.
FREE Yard Waste Disposal and FREE Composite Soil: YARD WASTE AND LEAVES MAY BE DELIVERED TO:
Organic Endeavors, located off Front Street down Fort Hunter Road; will accept residential woody waste from township residents per the existing contract. Material may be delivered to the Organic Endeavors site on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Material will be accepted FREE OF CHARGE FOR TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS. Maximum diameter of the woody waste is four (4) inches.
FREE Composite Soil to TWP RESIDENTS
Organic Endeavors will now be offering one cubic yard of free composite soil to all township residents. Material may be picked up during the days and times listed above.
