FEMA Flood Map Update Announcement
FEMA has updated their Flood Maps to provide more reliable, easier to use Flood Insurance Rate Maps. In some cases, the Floodplain designation on a parcel may have mapped into a lower or higher risk zone. This update can result in changes to the flood insurance premium for the parcel. It is recommended that property owners consult with their flood insurance provider for further information and clarification on whether or not they are affected. The Township will provide links to the Flood Insurance Reform Act website, along with some other useful links from FEMA on the Townships website.
