LOCATION OF SUSQUEHANNA TOWNSHIP PARKS

Veterans Park – Ward 7 (16 acres) Located at 1955 Elmerton Avenue across from the State Police Building. Situated between the Game Commission and Fish & Boat Commission properties, amenities include: lighted baseball field, lighted softball field, soccer complex with four fields and a concession/storage facility, play area with swings, slide and climbing gym, pavilion with 9 picnic tables, restrooms, kitchen, refrigerator/freezer, microwave and electrical outlets, shuffle-board court, sand volleyball court, basketball court and lighted tennis courts.  A Monument erected in 2006 and dedicated to the Veterans of World War II  who resided in Susquehanna Township during the war; was provided by volunteers from the Susquehanna Township Alumni Association.

Edgemont Community Park – Ward 3 (11 acres) Located at the intersection of Locust Lane and Edgemont Road, adjacent to the Salvation Army Building. Amenities include: play structure for ages 5 -12, swings, pavilion with 2 tables and softball field.

Christian McNaughton Memorial Park – Ward 2 (7.5 acres) Behind Thomas Holtzman, Jr. Elementary School. Amenities include:  pavilion with 2 picnic tables, preschool play structure for 2 – 5 year olds, swings, baseball field and soccer field.

Crown Point Park – Ward 3 (4.25 acres) On Walker Mill Road, at the intersection of Aspen Way. Amenities include: benches, pavilion, 4 picnic tables, rest rooms, grill, walking path, game court, playground with a play structures for 5-12 year olds and a play structure for 2 -5 year olds.

Donald B. Stabler Memorial Park – Ward 1 (7.85 acres) Located Just off of 6th Street (Linglestown Road) at 4331 Kaby Street. Amenities include:  play structure for ages 5 - 12, softball field, basketball court, restrooms, baseball field and concession stand

Plum Alley Park – Ward 6 (.8acre) Located off 39th Street, one block north of Rauch Street. Amenities include: play structure for ages 5 - 12, swings, and pavilion with 2 picnic tables.

Shutt Mill Park – Ward 3 (5 acres) Located off of Crooked Hill Road. Entrance is just north of Shutt Mill Road. Amenities include:  pavilion with 2 picnic tables and basketball court.

Olympus Heights – Ward 9 (1.5 acres) Off of Crooked Hill Road on Apollo Avenue. Amenities include:  basketball court, link trail to Wildwood Park and Olewine Nature Center.

Beaufort Hunt Playground – Ward 8 (2.8 acres) Located in Beaufort Farms Development, Mount Vernon Circle. Amenities include:  play structure with swings, slide and a pavilion with 2 picnic tables.

Future park locations:

Apple Creek Farms Development - Ward 9 (2.68 acres) Off Paxton Church Road on Jonagold and Pebble Court. Currently dedicated open green space, park development in the planning phase.

Margaret’s Grove Development - Ward 2 (6 acres) Continental Avenue. Dedicated/undeveloped. This site is contiguous with Waverly Woods Development.

Waverly Woods Development - Ward 2 (20 acres) North of Linglestown Road at Continental Avenue and Progress Avenue. Not dedicated/undeveloped
