On May 1,
2007; a Yard Inspection at the Harrisburg Gardens with Brent Miles,
owner of Harrisburg Gardens about the dumping of debris from
residents on his place of business.
On May 1, 2007; a Yard Inspection at 617 Redwood Street about
violations present at 613 Redwood Street and a violation letter was
sent out concerning the violations.
On May 2, 2007; a meeting with Richard Trayer about a trailer being
used as a dwelling at 733 Wilhelm Road which is not permitted under
Zoning.
On May 3, 2007; a Yard Inspection and Housing Code Inspection at 8
Arrow Road and citations were used and pictures taken of the
horrible living conditions present.
On May 3, 2007; a Yard Inspection at 12704 Fox Hunt Lane for
violations with the neighbor behind them concerning an accumulation
of brush and wood in the backyard.
On May 4, 2007; a meeting with Ronald Wiest about the property at
733 Wilhem Road and the friend who is residing there with a trailer
which is not permitted.
On May 4, 2007; a meeting with Juan Alfonzo about the Edgemont
Baseball Association and the use of the Edgemont Snack Bar. An
onsite inspection was made and a temporary permit was issued for the
snack bar for use during the baseball season.
On May 4, 2007; a meeting with Christine Shainshue about the
Wedgewood Hills Apartment at 3258 Wakefield Road, Apt. A and
numerous violations were noted and are-inspection of the apartment
will occur in June.
On May 7, 2007; a CASA Executive Board meeting for the upcoming
Annual CASA Conference on May 14 to 18 in Virginia Beach was
discussed.
On May 7, 2007; a Housing Code Inspection at 3258 Wakefield Road,
Apt. #A for violations and a meeting with the management of the
facility. Numerous violations were noted and a re-inspection of the
apartment will occur in June.
On May 8, 2007; a meeting with Janet Straw and on May 23, 2007 about
the cats from across the street. A citation was filed because of the
feeding of the cats on the back porch.
On May 9, 2007; a pre-operational inspection for a new Massage
Therapy Salon at 13 North Progress Avenue entitled Therapeutic
Massage by Lisa Reed.
On May 9, 2007; a Housing Code Inspection at 3 Linn Street,
Apartment #1 and several violations were noted. A letter went out
and a re-inspection of the property will occur in June.
On May 11, 2007; a Yard Inspection at 3660 North 3rd Street with
Albert Wrightstone, Jr. for possible alligators and the alligators
have moved on and the case is now closed.
On May 11, 2007; a Yard Inspection at 733 Wilhelm Road to see the
progress and re-inspections will occur in June.
On May 11, 2007; a Yard Inspection at 4329 Crooked Hill Road for
trucks. All of the vehicles present were inspected and the case is
now closed.
On May 14 through May 18-I attended the Annual CASA Conference in
Virginia Beach, Virginia.
On May 22, 2007; a Housing Code Inspection at 3216 North 6th Street
for mold and mildew present in the basement. Violations were noted
and letter for the violations has gone out. A follow-up inspection
will occur in June.
On May 23, 2007; a Re-Inspection at 3422 Schoolhouse Lane with
Albert Wrightstone, Jr. and some progress was made. The residents of
the property were told that the grass must be cut and trash
bags removed by Monday or citations for each violation will be done.
A re-inspection for other violations will occur in June.
On May 23, 2007; a Yard Inspection at 3416 North 6th Street with
Michael Rohrer, Zoning Officer for ongoing property maintenance
issues. Items must be removed or citations are the next item. A
re-inspection of the yard will occur in June.
On May 23, 2007; an Inspection with David Dyer at 3229 Elwood Drive
about an obstruction to view with a pine tree. A personal visit will
be made and a letter sent out about the problem. It was also
requested that a traffic study be done for a 4-way stop sign in the
area.
On May 23, 2007; a meeting about Recycle Bank with Lynn Roche, Gary
Myers, Commissioners Sean Sanderson and Wendy Johnson and Edward
Ward, Jr. from Penn Waste. At this time; this proposal is not
possible and maybe in the future.
On May 24, 2007; a Hearing before the Health Board of Susquehanna
Township for Glenn Cassel at 4020 Crooked Hill Road, Harrisburg, PA
17110.
On May 25, 2007; an Inspection at 4205 Jonathon Lane with Barry
Balletts from Penn Waste about possible damaging of lilies at the
residents home and no incident was found. The case was closed.
On May 29, 2007; a Yard Inspection at 3422 Schoolhouse Lane to check
and see if the grass and the trash bags were removed. The grass was
cut; but the trash bags remained and now an accumulation of brush.
The resident has until Friday, June 15, 2007 to have all of the
items removed from the backyard or each will be cited.
On May 29, 2007; a Yard Inspection at Buchkett Horse Farm on
Ailanthus Lane to see if the violations were all corrected. All of
the violations were corrected and the case is now closed.
On May 29, 2007; Posting of 2305 Canby Street for urine smell from
the breakfast room and also smell coming from the grassy area in the
backyard. A repeat inspection will occur on June 1, 2007.
On May 30, 2007; a Yard Inspection at 3236 Park Road and all of the
violations were corrected and the case is now closed.
On May 30, 2007; a Re-Inspection at 733 Wilhelm Road to check on the
status of the trailer and other violations. All of the violations
remained. A re-inspection will occur next week with Michael Rohrer,
Zoning Officer to determine the course of action to take.
