HEALTH DEPARTMENT REPORT FOR APRIL, 2007

ENVIRONMENTAL INSPECTIONS
There were numerous inspections made on premises throughout the Township as a result of complaints, or scheduled survey and these premises were found to have either trash, weeds, or abandoned vehicles as the problem. These and other miscellaneous complaints were corrected or are in the process of correction through personal contact or letter notification.

 On April 5, 2007; a Housing Code Inspection was conducted at 3585 Marshfield Road with Albert Wrightstone, Jr assisting and numerous violations were found. A follow-up inspection will be on June 6 due to the death of the occupant’s mother.

On April 5, 2007; a Housing and Yard Inspection was done at 8 Arrow Road with numerous violations found. A follow-up inspection is scheduled for May.

On April 9, 2007; a Yard Inspection at 3200 Penbrook Avenue for skunks and none were found.

On April 9, 2007; Court Hearings for Silvia Pietzke for 3027 Walnut Street and she was found guilty with jail time; Josephine Knoll for 2305 Canby Street which was dismissed because of her cleaning up the house and a re-inspection will occur in June. Also a hearing for Michael’s Pizza and Deli at 3914 North 6th Street which they were found guilty by abstention.

On April 10, 2007; a Housing and Yard Inspection at 3422 Schoolhouse Lane with numerous violations found. A re-inspection of the property is scheduled for Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at 1:30p.m.

On April 13, 2007; a Yard Inspection was done at 3416 North 6th Street and there is still some accumulation of wire and salvage goods which still needs to be removed from the property. A follow-up inspection will occur in May.

On April 16, 2007; a Housing Code Inspection at 3600 Brookside Terrace, Apt. #103 for the backing up of the toilets from both bathrooms into the hallway and the master bedroom at Whisperwood Apartments. A follow-up inspection to remove the carpet or thoroughly clean the carpet by allowing for the removal and thorough drying of the carpet will occur on Monday, April 23, 2007 at 3:00p.m.

On April 17, 2007; a Yard Inspection with Triple Crown Corporation for Apple Creek Farms about a dumpsite off of Pebble Court.

On April 18, 2007; a Full Inspection conducted at Price Rite because of a complaint from a consumer about selling Green Meat and it was true. A follow-up inspection will be scheduled for two weeks.

On April 19, 2007; Quarterly drug testing for the DOT program was completed.

On April 23, 2007; Re-Inspection at 3600 Brookridge Terrace, Apt. #103 to check and see if the area was completely sanitized and the carpet was removed. The area was sanitized and the new carpet was to be installed by the end of the week. The case is now closed.

On April 24, 2007; a Yard Inspection and again on April 26, 2007 at 3325 Sunnyside Avenue for a squirrel in the backyard. No violation noted.

On April 24, 2007; a Yard Inspection at the Big Tree with Brian Zaver about cleaning up the material and brush around the tree. A follow-up inspection will occur in a week.

On April 25, 2007; a Re-Inspection of the property at 24 Deckart Road with Albert Wrightstone, Jr. assisting with the inspection. All of the violations were corrected and the case is now closed.

On April 25, 2007; a Yard Inspection at 3422 Schoolhouse Lane with Albert Wrightstone, Jr. assisting. Violations were noted and a follow-up inspection will occur on May 22, 2007.

On April 26, 2007;a Housing and Yard Inspection occurred at 118 Short Street with Albert Wrightstone, Jr. assisting with the inspection. Numerous violations were noted and a re-inspection of the property will occur in early June.

On April 26, 2007; a meeting with Shawn Meloy about starting up an ice cream mobile unit.

On April 30, 2007; a Yard Inspection at Harrisburg Gardens with the owner of the property, Brent Miles about possible violations present on the property.
