NEW BUSINESS:

There was a discussion about having Giant and Weis Markets inspected more frequently than twice yearly for violations to keep the food stores in compliance. It was tabled for now pending further discussion at another meeting.

It was again discussed about inspecting the Grocery stores more frequently because of the
Vast amount of food going through the stores but no action was taken.

The FDA Food Code states that all facilities are to be inspected twice yearly except for Day Care Center and Senior Citizen Centers which are inspected once a quarter.

ELECTION OF OFFICERS FOR 2010

Richard Bronstein will be the new President for 2010 and Bruce Goodman, M.D. will be the Secretary for the Health Board.

Both nominations had no opposition and passed unanimously.

Lynn’s Report:

Texas Roadhouse has had a problem with mice. I received a complaint about the restaurant from the Dept. of Agriculture and upon inspection this was confirmed to be the case. The restaurant has had pest control come in monthly and they were advised to contact them again to get the company back in for additional treatment.

Aagan at Harrisburg has still some issues that needs to be worked on but much better than the initial routine inspection in November.

OLD BUSINESS:

The Garrison System is being implemented. A meeting concerning the Garrison System with the Dept. of Agriculture present did occur on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 and 23 Restaurants participated in the session. The whole program was discussed and gone over what all is involved and how the program will be implemented by the township.

A motion was made by Carol Peters and seconded by Bruce Goodman, M.D. to adjourn. The Health Board meeting was adjourned at 12:45p.m.

Next Health Board Meeting will be held on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Noon
