The Health Board Minutes from the April 17, 2008 meeting were approved by Carol Peters and seconded by Richard Bronstein.

OLD BUSINESS FOR THE HEALTH BOARD MEETING INCLUDED:
There was more discussion about the Posting of Inspections on the Website of the township. Solicitor Foreman offered his perspective from the legal standpoint that the township is liable for what is placed on the website and how long it stays on the website when a violation has been corrected. If a violation exists and is posted on the website and then a follow-up inspection has occurred then the website needs to be changed. There is concern over time management of getting that done routinely to make sure that occurs.

The situation was left to check into the owner of the Permit Manager system and see what he could come up with the next Health Board Meeting in June. Also to possibly develop a format for hazard and no-hazardous terminology being used for Critical and Non—critical violations. The subject will be revisited at the June Health Board meeting.

At the May meeting which is on May 15; an extensive discussion will also be done concerning this case when Solicitor Bruce Foreman will also be available.

A meeting occurred with Weis Markets as reported by Lynn on April 4, 2008. Members of the corporate office of Weis Markets from Sunbury attended. Those in attendance were the Regional Director, Quality Control Manager, Store Managers, District Director and the Quality Assurance District Manager. A very good meeting was felt by all and a new follow-up inspection will be conducted shortly. A follow-up at Weis Markets will occur shortly.

In Lynn’s Report; all of the other establishments that were having issues have been corrected with the exception of one. Follow-up inspections will occur shortly to make sure that all in compliance.

NEW BUSINESS BEFORE THE HEALTH BOARD INCLUDED:

There was some discussion about educating the public and how to go about doing this once a final discussion was arrived at on how to post the inspections on the website. Lynn stated that a meeting will be held with the Restaurants to state what is going to happen and when it is going to occur.

Timothy Goede spoke about receiving a letter for his high grass and weeds being present at his property and has requested a hearing which will be held at the June 19, 2008 meeting..

ADJOURNMENT: The motion for adjournment was entertained by Richard Bronstein. and seconded by Carol Peters at 12:58p.m. The meeting was adjourned.

THE NEXT HEALTH BOARD MEETING WILL BE HELD ON THURSDAY, June 19, 2008 at Noon. This will be the last meeting till September.
