Lynn’s Report talked
about the ongoing situation at 2305 Canby Street and that a housing code
inspection had been conducted on April 15, 2008. The situation this time
was TERRIBLE. Food debris and other debris were all through the house on
all three floors and a second housing code inspection is set up for
Thursday, April 24, 2008.
There was an extensive discussion about getting much tougher on repeat
offenders that keep going on and on. That is why a second housing code
inspection is occurring within 10 days of the first one. If the
violation is not corrected then a citation will be issued for not
keeping your home clean and sanitary.
At the May meeting which is on May 15; an extensive discussion will also
be done concerning this case when Solicitor Bruce Foreman will also be
available.
There was an extensive discussion about the posting of restaurant
inspection on our website. There was a motion made by Dr. Bruce Goodman
to have the posting of the inspection and the violations that occurred
on the inspection posted on the front door. The motion was seconded by
Dr. Bakare.
A meeting occurred with Weis Markets as reported by Lynn on April 4,
2008. Members of the corporate office of Weis Markets from Sunbury
attended. Those in attendance were the Regional Director, Quality
Control Manager, Store Managers, District Director and the Quality
Assurance District Manager. A very good meeting was felt by all and a
new follow-up inspection will be conducted shortly.
But it was also tabled this month to see the legal criteria that is
needed to post on the website and how it will be managed. Solicitor
Bruce Foreman has been asked to attend the next Health Board meeting to
discuss this matter.
Also in Lynn’s Report about the Restaurant was her concerns over the
number of Restaurants that are failing on the first routine inspection.
There are currently 4 establishments which have not passed the Routine
Inspection and have failed the first follow-up visit.

inspection. A motion was made by Dr. Bruce Goodman and seconded by Carol

letter also go to the corporate offices of Damon’s Grille. The motion
passed unanimously.
The other new business that was brought up was about 3422 Schoolhouse
Lane by Commissioner Sean Sanderson. A more aggressive action and if
things are not better at the next inspection which is Thursday, April
24, 2008 to issue more citations.
