REGULAR MEETING
The Regular Meeting of the
Susquehanna Township Health Board met and was called to order by Dr. Ayodeji
Bakare at 12:10p.m. in the Susquehanna Room at the Susquehanna Township
Municipal Building.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
The Health Board Minutes from the February 21, 2008 meeting were approved by Dr.
Bruce Goodman and seconded by Richard Bronstein.
OLD BUSINESS FOR THE HEALTH BOARD MEETING INCLUDED:
Lynn’s Report talked about
the ongoing situation at 2305 Canby Street and that a housing code inspection
had been conducted on March 18, 2008. No new violations were present and the
resident was encouraged to reduce the amount of fireload in the basement.
Another housing code re-inspection will occur in April.
There was an extensive discussion about the posting of restaurant inspection on
our website. The discussion about where to go from here with posting on the
website was asked by Health Officer Roche to be postponed to the April meeting
for Fire Marshal George Drees to comment on the situation.
Commercial recycling is going well and the tonnage reported to Dauphin County
thus far is that the commercial businesses within the township recycled in 2007
1, 683.04 tons of cardboard, office paper, plastics from #1 through #7, glass
and bi-metal cans.
NEW BUSINESS BEFORE THE HEALTH BOARD INCLUDED:
Weis Markets was the topic of discussion at the March Health Board meeting and
what to do about the situation that the store continues to fail inspections. It
was requested that Lynn Roche send a letter to the corporate office in Sunbury
and advise Weis Markets at the headquarters what is going on with the
Restaurant. A re-inspection of the store will occur before the letter is sent.
The store has already failed one follow-up inspection
A motion was made by Dr. Mark Cohen and seconded by Dr. Bruce Goodman to send a
letter to the corporate office of Weis Markets to advise them of the situation
and how concerned our Health Board is for the store continuing to fail
inspections.

The motion for adjournment
was entertained by Dr. Ayodeji Bakare, M.D. and seconded by Richard Bronstein at
12:39p.m. The meeting was adjourned.
