MINUTES

SUSQUEHANNA TOWNSHIP REGULAR MEETING
BOARD OF HEALTH MARCH 15, 2007

The Regular Meeting of the Board of Health was called to order by President Bruce Goodman at 12:15p.m. in the Susquehanna Room at Susquehanna Township, 1900 Linglestown Road.

APPROVED MINUTES

Approval of the Health Board Minutes of January 18, 2007 was
Approved by Dr. Bernard Margolis and seconded by Dr. Mark Cohen.
 

OLD BUSINESS

Lynn’s Report mentioned about the resident at 2305 Canby Street and
The on going issues with the property. A repeat inspection is scheduled
For March 16, 2007. A lengthy discussion occurred about the ongoing
Issues that have been apparent at this dwelling and what direction to go
From this point forward.

A motion was made by Dr. Bruce Goodman stated that “In view of the
Peculiarity and uniqueness of the problem that a re-evaluation to be
Performed within the next 3 months. This motion was made based on
If the violations present before have been corrected and there are no new
Violations. A re-evaluation of the dwelling will then occur in June.

Lynn also brought up numerous Restaurants that are failing inspections
And also follow-up inspections that are not passing. Michael’s Pizza &
Deli has failed two follow-up inspections. Citations have been issued and
Will continue to be issued until the matter is resolved. Also, the Jade Buffet
Has had numerous problems with cross contamination and the restaurant has
Failed one follow-up inspection. Repeat follow-up inspections are both
Restaurants will occur shortly.


NEW BUSINESS

The Susquehanna Township Sewer Authority has requested the Board of
Health to review a letter submitted by CET and make a recommendation
Back to the Sewer Authority with a motion about what they would
Recommend concerning the treatment of the roots. The Board of Health
Had many questions concerning the carcinogenic factors which may be
Apparent with the use of some of the chemicals. The motion was tabled
And a formal letter will be sent to the Susquehanna Township Sewer
Authority requesting a representative from CET be asked to attend the
Next Health Board meeting which will be on Thursday, April 19, 2007
At noon. .

The next Health Board meeting will be on Thursday, April 19, 2007 at
Noon.

ADJOURNMENT

A motion was made for adjournment and it was done by Dr. Bernard
Margolis and seconded by Dr. Bruce Goodman. Seconded by Dr. Bruce Goodman. The meeting was adjourned at 12:37p.m.
