SUSQUEHANNA TOWNSHIP
February 18, 2010


The Regular Meeting of the Susquehanna Township Health Board met and was called to order by President Richard Bronstein at 12:23 p.m. in the Susquehanna Room at the Susquehanna Township Municipal Building.


BOARD MEMBERS AND PERSONNEL IN ATTENDANCE:

A motion was made by Bruce Goodman, M..D. and seconded by Mark Cohen, O.D. to accept the Health Board Minutes from January 21, 2010 meeting. The motion passed unanimously.

CITIZENS: None

LYNN’S REPORT:

The Pan Tree Restaurant failed and also Taipei Chinese Restaurant failed on their routine Inspections. Follow-up inspections to occur shortly.

Two Officers were bitten during the first part of February. One was assisting with a stray dog and was bitten on the hands. The other Officer was bitten on the right arm while serving a search warrant. The animals have been quarantined and the officers are fine. Both dog bites have been closed.

OLD BUSINESS:

Garrison System is being finalized. Training to be completed shortly. The system should be ready for use by April of this year.

NEW BUSINESS:

Property Maintenance Ordinance will be discussed at the March 18, 2010 meeting to include Invasive Species.

Township has received a 902 Grant from 2008 for help in purchasing additional leaf machines and a new dump truck to be used for recycling within the township.

There was a delay with the trash collection for the end of the week of February 10 due to the large amount of snow that was received within a 4 day period.

Problems this year with people and businesses maintaining their sidewalks and keeping them clear for pedestrians for walking.

A motion was made by Dr. Mark Cohen and seconded by Dr. Bruce Goodman to adjourn. The Health Board meeting was adjourned at 12:50p.m.

Next Health Board Meeting will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Noon
