The
Regular Meeting of the Susquehanna Township Health Board met and was
called to order by President Richard Bronstein at 12:10 p.m. in the
Susquehanna Room at the
Susquehanna
Township
Municipal
Building
.

A
motion was made by Carol Peters and seconded by Ayodeji Bakare, M.D. to
accept the Health Board
Minutes from December 18, 2009 meeting.
The motion passed unanimously.
CITIZENS:
None
LYNN
’S REPORT:
Aagan
Restaurant has improved and have purchased
new equipment for the Restaurant.
Texas
Roadhouse has improved significantly and will be monitored closely.
Seven
11 and Bagel Lovers both failed on their initial routine inspections in
January. Follow-up to be
done shortly.
Two
cases were closed: Walnut
Crossings for a mold issue were closed after 6 months
In
one unit.Shell Street Apartments for floor needing to be redone and it was
completed and the case is now closed.
Eighteen
Establishments within
Susquehanna
Township
were delinquent in obtaining their 2010 Food Service Permits.
Late notices went out and are due back by the close of business
on Friday, January 29, 2010. Citations
will be issued after that time.
It
was discussed that later this year for next year to state on the
applications that citations will be issued following January 1, 2011.
No late notices will be going out.
The licenses run January through December of each calendar year.
OLD
BUSINESS:
Garrison
System is being finalized. Training
to be completed shortly. The
system should be ready for use by April of this year.
Discussion
about the outcome of the citation that was issued for Bamboo.
The resident at
314 Oak Street
was found guilty and needs to seek permission from the next door
neighbor to proceed to have the bamboo removed.
NEW
BUSINESS:
Discussion
occurred about having a newsletter article in the upcoming Spring and
Summer issue of the township newsletter addressing Bamboo and other
invasive weeds that are not permitted under our Property Maintenance
Ordinance for the township.
New
CVS and when it is expected to be open and also the other restaurants
which will be coming into the next door building.
Discussion
occurred about the new Empire Asian Bistro and if they are open.
They are open and ready for business.
A
motion was made by Dr. Mark Cohen and seconded by Ayodeji Bakare, M.D.
to adjourn. The Health Board
meeting was adjourned at 12:35p.m.
Next
Health Board Meeting will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Noon
